Q&A

  • We recommend a moderate level of fitness for this retreat, including the ability to hike for a few miles with a backpack on. Our climbing and paddling experiences are designed for participants of all skill levels, including beginners, with easy rapids and gentle climbing routes. While cardio endurance is beneficial, technical mastery of the activities is not required.

  • Absolutely! We've partnered with trusted guiding companies, ensuring experienced and certified female guides lead each activity. They'll provide expert guidance and support throughout the day, ensuring a enjoyable and enriching experience for all participants.

  • You'll start your day with a simple yet hearty breakfast, enjoy sandwiches during our adventures, and indulge in tea time with snacks upon return. For dinner, we'll savor three diverse meals from exceptional local restaurants, featuring carnivore and vegetarian/vegan options, accompanied by fresh, locally sourced desserts. We happily accommodate dietary restrictions.

  • To secure your spot, we require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due by August 1st. Please note, our cancellation policy is strict. For added flexibility, we recommend purchasing trip insurance through this link: Travelex Insurance.

  • All activities are designed to proceed rain or shine. Typically, even during rainy periods, we experience windows of good weather, and the warm climate during this time of year makes outdoor activities feasible. In the event of rain, we'll adapt activities that require drier weather, such as rock climbing, by focusing on alternative options like rappelling, technical skills, and movement exercises. Rest assured, we're prepared to adjust our plans to ensure a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for all participants.

  • No, we do not provide transportation. If you are within driving distance, we recommend driving yourself. If you are flying into Asheville or Greenville, it is best to rent a car from the airport. However, we encourage carpooling during the retreat, which can be arranged in advance among the participants.

As a climbing instructor and former professional actress, I've been fortunate to gather a diverse range of experiences in public speaking and leadership coaching. Through these varied paths, I've come to deeply appreciate the transformative power of nature and human connection.

With a background rooted in theater, television, and film, including directing the film "Women are Mountains," I've found ways to weave storytelling into every retreat I craft. My aim is to create spaces where physical challenge meets creative expression, fostering growth and empowerment for all involved.

My journey as a climber, backpacker, paddler, has taught me firsthand the impact of merging physical activity with artistic expression. Through leading women’s retreats, I've witnessed the resilience and strength that can emerge when we come together in stunning natural settings.

As an immigrant myself, I understand the complexities of forming new social connections as an adult. This awareness drives me to cultivate supportive environments in my retreats, where women can discover their strengths, foster meaningful connections, and find a sense of belonging together.
